Does anyone know of any free automatic or scheduled shutdown programs for XP?

Use the shutdown command.
Start > Run > cmd /k shutdown /? You can make a scheduled task to run whenever. |

It's very easy. Create a new .BAT file, naming it anything you want (like myshutdown.bat), then put in one line:
shutdown -s -f Then create a new Scheduled Task in the Control Panel, and tell it to run that batch file at the time you choose. |
