Exclamation .rar file extension chipset update drivers

9:59 PM 8/19/2006 .rar file
General Software
question:
I want to update my chipset drivers to a new version. I have to update my chipset drivers before I can update my bios. I went to the asus web site and downloaded the newer version of the chipset. Saved the file in my C:drive. Now that the file has been dowloaded I tried to run the program and I cant make it work. The file has a .rar file extension. what program do I use to open this file so I can update my chipset drivers?

I have never seen Asus drivers with a .rar extension - are you sure you got them from the Asus site? This sounds like "unofficial" stuff to me........

It will be interesting to see how long this (rar.exe) last.

If they want to rar their stuff for whatever reason, the least they could do is make them self-extracting .exe's.

To open that file, you will have to install either Winrar or 7-Zip.
