Norton Internet Security

Im about fed up with Norton. I have tried like 4 things to uninstall it. I then go back to reinstall and i keep getting a message during installation saying "install failed. Gathering error information" then after that it quits and says that it was unable to install please contact technical support. I did and nothing worked. Tried 3 methods to uninstall and reinstall and still everytime I reinstall i get the same error. I just want my norton to work. I know the simplest way would be just reinstall the OS but i dont want to do that so what are my options?

Thanks

If you can get it to uninstall, don't reinstall it! Get AVG Free or Avast and don't look back. If you have a router, the XP SP2 firewall is fine.

Let's not start a debate here, but that is not a true statement. Look through some threads in our security forum.
