partitioning

i wanna partition my drive without having to format....is this possible
i was also wondering if anyone knows a program called magic partition 8.0 and what does it do?

Partition Magic is a very popular program that's been out for Years to create/move/remove partitions on a drive and not lose any data.

Backup your important data first. One wrong step or error and you could lose all your data.

Gparted has served me well. its a free distro of linux that boots to a live CD (like knoppix). it allows you to configure the sizes of your partitions. seems pretty decent
