default paper size wrong MS Word

when I open MS Word 2002, I have to change my paper size from ledger 11x17 to 8 1/2x11 everytime before creating a document. I have chosen the "default" button to reset, but it does not change.

It sounds like someone set ledger size as the new default.
You're going to have to set it back to A4.

Try deleting the normal.dot template in c:\documents and settings\username\application data\microsoft\templates. word should recreate a new one with default settings the next time you open word. N.B. in explorer you will have to set the view hidden files option.

Try this :
Quote:
"Page Setup" then select A4. Then choose "Microsoft Word"
from the settings pop-up and click on the "Default" button.
Also check to make sure A4 is the default in Printer "Properties"
Try this before you try deleting any templates.
