Using Microsoft word 2000
Microsoft word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience After submitting an error report I get this problem description This error was caused by Hewlett-packard printer driver. This software was created by Hewlett-packard company. Recommendations Microsoft has contacted Hewlett-Packard company about this error, but we have not received a solution. We will continue to communicate with Hewlett-Packard company about this error and try to obtain a solution from them. I've been patiently waiting all summer for a fix from microsoft and still nothing. Until i find a solution to this problem i'm unable to open word docs. without being online for some strange reason. Any suggestions? |

This use to be a problem in offices.
It could turn up at home if you made the mistake of chosing network printer instead of local printer and it that case the cure was switching to local printer It's never been fixed, it's years later, and Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard are still pointing fingers at each other. The thing is that Word 2000 won't run correctly without printer drivers so you're in a bind here. I hate to say it but if you're not buying another printer then it's just has to be endured. Sorry. |

Do you have ANY other printers installed such as a fax driver or a PDF driver? If so, try setting it to be your default printer. When you go to print, use file - print instead of clicking the print icon and select the HP from the available printers.

Now that's a nice one that I've never come across before. All Marionet would have to do is download and install a free copy of Primo PDF. Primo is here : http://www.primopdf.com/ It would certainly be worth trying out. |

CutePDF is free too - and if you have a dialup modem you can install the M$ Fax driver.
This has been a continuing issue with HP Deskjets for a long time - if your default printer is a shared Deskjet on another computer and the other computer is not on and logged in, Word crashes every time. |
