I am undertaking a project that seems to be a thorn in many people's sides. Who knows, I may give up after a while or once I realize that it cannot be done in any logical way.
The project is this. I have a large amount of numerical data that represents a particular entitiy. There are footnote associated with the entity. Depending on which footnote is selected determines the true identity (output) of the entity. I look at it and feel as though it is like attaching two spider webs to each other and trying to make heads or tails of it all. Any suggestions as to what software I may be able to use would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

If I read you right, just about any relational database program will do that. I "read" it as you have a field (footnote) that has two one-to-one or one-to-many relations. In otherwords if "footnote" = 'a-1' then read data table a-1. If footnote = b-1 then read data table b-1.
