Tweaking software

Is there any good software out there that can tell you which things to tweak in windows to help save on system resources and help in the boot process.. My new system even though fast takes for ever to load to the desktop.. this is even after going to msconfig and unchecked all the common start up entries that I don't need running in the back ground...

Specs MB:Asus A8N32-Sli
CPU:AMD 64X2 Toledo 4800
HD Two WD Raptors 150GB 10,000 rpm 16MB Cache
RAM:Corsair XMS Extreme 2GB (2X1GB)
OS: WinXP Pro

This has been a ongoing nuisance and I need a solution.. Sometimes it will boot in 1min sometimes 3 to 4 minutes.. i have tried the old blkviper tweaks but that hasn't even helped...

I was reading about the new hard disks that will be introduced with the release of Windows Vista. They are being called Hybrid drives...a hard disk with a built in flash memory.

Vista is able to store the important system files in the flash memory to hugely increase system boot times. Apparently the OS can also use this flash memory to load files into from the hard disk before the user actually requests the data to be fetched. This is done be some kind of predictive prefetching from the hard disk.

I really like this concept and look forward to seeing it in action
