RealVNC Problems.

I have 3 computers on a network. 2 are running on 98se and 1 on XP Pro. Using the XP machine, I have no problem seeing the other computers' hard drives via sharing. However, I can't view the other computers using RealVNC.

The 98se machines can see one another with RealVNC.

I have disabled the firewalls but it's still the same btw.

The error that comes out is VNC Viewer: Error. unable to resolve host by name: No such host is known. (1100).

Help.

Use the IP address, not the computer name.

Make sure that not only is Windows Firewall either turned off or even better just allow ports 5800 and 5900, but make sure that you don't have an AV program with a firewall blocking the ports.

How are you trying to access it, with the VNC viewer or in IE?

I tried accessing it using the VNC viewer. I'm going to try disabling the firewall. I do hope your advice works.
