Adobe Files received via Email
One of my colleague is having this problem. When a company fax an adobe document over, she will receive it via her email. So, the problem is when she opens the attachement, instead of opening the document, it will open system32 folder instead with all the system files...However, she can still open other Adobe fax documents.
I am not sure how to rectify this. I have uninstall Microsoft Office, Adobe but the problem still persists. I also run adware and spybot and remove some malicious software but still the same too. She's using Adobe 7 but I already removed it and installed Adobe 6 Professional instead. Doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Check folder options, file types and be sure adobe is set for all type of files it is capable of opening, also check email options, what email program is in use here?

It sounds like you uninstalled Acrobat Reader 7 and installed Acrobat Professional 6. I would install reader, run the updates on it and then turn the update feature off. It causes too many problems. Reader opens faster and some pdf's won't be able to display properly in v.6.
