Office Help not working

I've got a strange problem with Office 2000 Help. It doesn't work for any installed Office apps. Pressing F1 will simply bring up a blank window that says "XXX Help" at the top, but with absolutely no content.

A repair install didn't work. A complete uninstall and reinstall didn't work. Anybody seen something like this?

No I haven't.
Sounds like some other install is conflicting.
I'd wonder if it was one of the Windows updates but I haven't heard anything.
Any other updates or new install since the last time it worked?

No idea, I haven't been paying much attention, I just do the high-priority updates as they come out.

OMG You killed Clippy?

Might read through the following and see if anything helps. (pardon the pun)

Uh oh.
So it's possible that Help quit showing up a while back and you've just seen it now.
Did you install the latest Office Service Pack for 2000 before any upgrades ?

It's not Clippy; that abominable creation gets nowhere near my computer. It's just the regular Office help. Attached is what it looks like when I hit the F1 key.

Edit: yes, Office is up to date with all service packs and patches.

Do you have multiple versions of office installed if so this mite help:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/319956/.

Also Im not sure if Windows help and Office help use the same program to launch help, so it mite be worth seeing if Windows help works aswell.

No, it wasn't related to Clippy. When I reinstalled, I didn't even install Clippy.
