4mb Powerpoint file spooling over 110mb while printing.

Someone in my office is trying to print a powerpoint file but after about 11 pages of handouts the printer just stops. I guessed when she told me that it was a memory issue, and I noticed that it stopped at about 100 megs. I'm not sure how powerpoint handles images and such as she has some screenshots an a lot of clipart but I think that would be reflected by the file size, except if they are just linked, but it was e-mailed to me with the same content.

That's quite normal for graphics-heavy files. I've seen spools bigger than 300 megs. Make sure that computer has adequate free space on the hard drive and an adequate sized pagefile.

spooling can be a problem, especially with large pages, grahics intensive, or with cad renderings. when i printed off ten A3 technology coursework pages, they spooled 850MB, so nothing to wory about, just make sure you have enough hd space.

So the printer memory doesn't come into play at all?

I'll check if the hd space is there, but I'm sure it is.

Edit: there is, she also e-mailed it to another person who tried it on different printers with the same problem.
