PDF Preflighting
Hi Everyone
I have set up a server running FTP and a Website but what the FTP is going to be used for is the transfer of PDF documents that are to be printed and so an idea was that as a PDF was dropped onto a "Hotfolder" on the FTP some kind of software would Preflight the PDF. It only needs to be checked for a few things though, not all of the options that you will find in Acrobats Preflight. It needs to be checked for: Trim and Registation marks, CMYK Colour, 300 DPI images, and white text has knockout trapping. This ideal thing would be for the software then e-mail the customer back the results, but putting into a file on FTP server would be ok.
I have looked at Pit Stop server but that is nearly £2000 and that is way to expensive for the simple set up i need, it does far to much. I am wondering I anyone knows of any software that could do this for less, please give links to software websites thanks
You help would be appriciated!!
Thanks
