Just curious. Can the column names (A, B, C, etc.) be changed to a text title? I'm wanting to do that so the headings are reflected at the top of every page of a multi-page document.
Thx.

Not that I'm aware of, but why not just use Row 1 for your titles?

Wouldn't Row 1 show up as the title for the first page only, tho? This doc will wind up being multiple pages... Shoulda just done it in Works Database, I guess....

Kov-Ice,
First set your column titles in the first row of your sheet. Set your print area (Select the area you want to print, then FILE>PRINT AREA>SET PRINT AREA), and adjust your page layout using Page Preview (VIEW>PAGE BREAK PREVIEW). Then on the Sheet tab of the Page Setup (FILE>PAGE SETUP) dialog, there is a place where it says Rows to repeat at top. Click on the button at the left end of the box and then select the row in the sheet that contains your column titles. The cells you select will show up in the box. Then click the button again to return to the Page Setup dialog. This row will then appear at the top of every sheet in the printout.

Excellent, thanks!
pillainp, does that have to be done right before printing? Or can it be done, saved, and then further edited while still keeping that property? |

Once the printing properties are set up and the sheet is saved, they will remain with the sheet, even if it saved under a different name or emailed. NPP |
