** PowerPoint Problem ***

Hi All:

I'm new at using PowerPoint, but I made two presentations that turned out well, just as I wanted them.

But this morning when I run either of them, the Sound Icon is showing on the screen.

I have it set to hide the icon in both presentations, and yesterday I'm sure they were not showing as I would have seen them.

I can't figure out what's going on, can you point me in the right direction to get rid of the icons?

System Info: WinXP Pro Version 2002, Pentium 4 2.40GHz, 512MB Ram.
MS Office PowerPoint 2003 ( 11.5529.5606 ) Product ID: 70141-057-72333-56637

Your help will be very much appreciated, and thanks ahead of time,

Bill Lane

In all versions of PowerPoint, you might see a sound icon on the slide where you inserted the sound - if you don't like the icon on the slide, just drag it to anywhere off the slide - your sound shall still play fine.

Thanks Ob1:

That worked great !!!, but I still have another problem.

I made an animated title (GIF) for my start screen, it worked yesterday, but not today.

It works in the set-up, but when I save it, it just shows a white rectangle where the animated title should be.

Hope you have a solution for this problem too :-)

animated gifs are only viewable during a slide show.

does it show as a white box in the slide show, or does it work as it normally should?

Hi Ob1:

It works fine in the set-up, but when I save it, and play it in IE, it just shows a white rectangle where the animation should be.
