Finally figured out how to do this - backing up stubborn DVDs using DVD decryptor

A few weeks back i posted during the process of backing up my DVD's--every once in a while i back up all the new DVDs i have bought; I like to bring dvd's on trips and will be bringing them to college when i go next year. I prefer to leave the originals at home due since ive already broken and lost a few discs when ive gone on trips, etc.

I was having trouble backing up a few from my collection- dvd shrink would just exit when i clicked to back them up. The solution was easy enough--since i could still copy the dvd files from DVD Decryptor, but could not shrink them, I decided to use a DL - DVD+R disc. It worked perfectly--this dvd+r DL didnt play well on my home player, but i put it into my PC again and this time dvd-shrink allowed me to shrink it onto a regular DVD+R. In the future, I am going to burn all my discs this way, since the DL discs are getting cheaper, and burning them to a DL disc will allow me to fully preserve the original DVD without any compression.

Just thought some people might find this useful!
