I don't know if anyone else has been experiencing the painfully irritating problems that I have been with Windows Media Player 11. First it wouldn't add my music to the library, then I couldn't rollback to WMP10 and now when I try to rip a cd, the album information will not come up! I go through the process of typing in the artist, selecting the album and then I click finish. It says "Updating Your Media Library, Please Wait..." and then nothing changes in the album information. I am rather picky about how my music is ripped and organized plus I would hate to have to leave WMP because i've liked it for so long. Does anyone have any idea about what I could do to get this working again? Thanks a lot!

are you wanting to revert back to wmp10? or just fix wmp11?
does it give you any errors when uninstalling wmp11? or when uploading the media library? personally i use audiograbber to rip. i dont get the album art associated with each song, but i could care less about seeing that on my ipod, im doing it for the music. you load your cd, you hit the feedback button it fiinds the album info, you can select which info you want on your rips, and select the quality (cbr vs vbr). http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ just something you might want to check out. i know how big of a pain it is to manual enter info in for each song.

What happens when I rollback to WMP10 is that WMP won't even open when I click the icon. I tried opening the actual exe but still nothing. I would really rather to go back to 10 but my guess is that some of the files got corrupted or something along those lines. Any ideas? Is there a way to completely remove WMP and start fresh other than formatting?

look in add/remove programs for WMP 11. click on the "show updates" check box, and remove all instances of WMP11 which should roll it back to 10.

I've tried that countless times but after the rollback is complete, WMP11 still shows up in the Add/Remove Programs list. I tried going into safe mode and deleting the media player all together and then reinstalling WMP 10 but that created a whole new mess in it's self. It seems like I'm at a sort of stale mate. I could format but that's a lot of backing up files that I really don't want to do.
