Front Page installation aborts-'missing fonts'
I am trying to install a rightious copy of MS FrontPage 2000 on Win XP
but it can't find various fonts and refuses to continue the install. I have installed 3 different fonts but each time I have to start over and enter the cd key etc and its been hours finding/installing the fonts etc. Who knows how many more it wants ! I have tried a minimal install but its still hunting for missing fonts on the hard drive. Microsoft site is no help. If I could find a list of all the required fonts that would be helpful. Any ideas ? Thanks |

Do you have the rest of the Office 2000 package? If so, open Word and click on Help->Detect and repair.

I didnt have MsOffice- Installed OpenOffice-that didnt work-
so I found a site in Vietnam that had all the MsOffice fonts, and I spent some time downloading and feeding them one by one from another machine via a USB drive. It finally said that Cab files were corrupt and it stopped the installation and I finally gave up. Just as well -its a hatefull program but I have a small job to do. I'll get it done with Nvu Composer. Thanks lots ! Edit: It is an original store bought full version CD - not a 'copy', Last edited by Parangles; 11-14-2006 at 03:51 PM. |
