Dreamweaver Installation hanging
Hi guys, i've been having this problem for quite a while now and it's really bugging me because I need Dreamweaver to do my work.
I've been trying to installed Dreamweaver 8 for an hour now but every time i try to install it, it eventually hangs on "copying new files". It doesn't say the program is not responding, but all activity for the installation stops. When i click cancel, it still stays there. This happens every single time I try to install Dreamweaver. Any idea why? |

what OS are you installing it on? are you installing it from a cd or are alll the files saved on your hard drive?
have you cleared out any temp files on your pc, use crap cleaner to do this. do you have any other problems with other installs? have you tried another cd rom drive? is this a burnt disc or the original copy?

I've deleted the temporary installation files dreamweaver creates. I'm downloading crap cleaner now. Original Copy |

try copying the files to your local hard drive and then run the setup.exe file from dreamweaver and see if completes its install.

that still causes it to hang.
Other programs that seem unresponsive for me are utorrent and xfire, they aren't as unresponsive as this installation but they don't work very well either |

If you're running XP, you still haven't told us what OS you have, is it patched and fully up to date?
What shows up in Event Viewer? All the programs you've mentioned are internet dependent or intended to be used with it in some way, which definitely makes it possible that the same problem is affecting them all, so when did this start?
