Ghost V8 sybase ODBC error

Installed Ghost Corp. V8 and continually get the 08001 Sybase ODBC error. Went to the Symantec site and followed their instructions to eliminate this error message and it still occurs. Can anyone provide a solution to this?

Running XP Pro SP2

How thoroughly did you remove the failed install?

If the registry hack after the uninstall won't work them I'm at a stand.
This qualifies as 'bump' keeping your post at the top so it won't be overlooked by the others.
