Updating BIOS n Drivers...

I am looking for a program that may or may not exist out there. Is there a program that can scan your hardware and tell you if you have the most up to date drivers or bios available from the manufactures? If so could someone provide with a link

The basic answer to that is "Yes" but...

So this is how it goes down :

1. You don't update the BIOS unless it's correcting a problem you have or adding functionality you need.
You don't fit in either category?
Pass it by.

2. Motherboard chipset drivers are usually a good deal but I can't be the only nForce2 board owner who, in the early days, felt a thrill of pure terror when nVidia announced an upgrade.
Tom's, Anandtech,Hardware[OC] all review driver updates and if you check the forums for Asus they do as well. Heed this and do your homework.
I gamble but I know I'm gambling.

3. There's a reason that new drivers come with info as to what they improve and what they break. Read the release notes that both nVidia and ATI accompany their graphics drivers with, they're telling you things you need to know.

Bottom line, don't be mindless.
The info is there and it's free so use it.

Windows automatic updates : If the above is true then the guys at Redmond (or anyone else) aren't doing you a favor by just dropping updates on you. The signed driver requirement may be useful if you've thought it through first but don't go on auto-pilot.

Testing my hardware...

Are there any tests out there that I can use to test my memory, video card, processor, etc.? I am putting together my system soon and want to make sure everything will run smooth under a heavy load.
