Alternative to iTunes

I'm not sure if most iPod owners know, but iTunes is not exactly the best software to update your iPod with. I, myself am a iPod owner and iTunes has always been a drag. With the new release of Winamp's newest version of it's player, it can now support portable devices including the iPod so if you love your iPod but hate iTunes, Winamp is a must get.

I personally like itunes, I know plenty of windows users don't though. Podcast support is excellent, integration with the its, smart playlists, album cover flow, built in conversion and burning, and now shared libraries, i get on with it very well. But I don't use windows and I know Apple has had some issues with itunes on that platform.

What problems have you had with iTunes and your iPod? I just got an iPod for Christmas and I have to admit that I got two errors the first time I hooked up my iPod to iTunes. However, I like iTunes a lot better than Winamp, so I guess I won't be going anywhere.
