lost nero serial number

i brought nero burning software a while ago and i lost the serial number and i need to reinstall it on my comp since i had to reinstall xp. is there a way to get the serial number. im not trying to disobey any rules.

Uh-oh.
Did you ever ghost or clone the drive?
Have you ever run the Nero diagnostic and saved the results to a backup?
The problem is that format and reinstall, you've effectively wiped out your trail.

i did a clean install of xp on purpose knowing that it wipe the harddrive. now i want to install the nero burning software but i lost the serial number that came with the CD. so is there a way to get the serial number without buying another CD.

If you registered the product with Nero, they can (or use to, at least) provide your serial number. Contact their customer support.

i have this installed on my second computer so with that comp can i extract the serial number. srry about not mentioning my second computer.

Your serial number is not only their but it's going to turn in your log and in the Nero DVD/CD drive speed test .

alomost there

i read through your link but what test do i run and how do i view the log. i tried running a speed test but after it was done it didn't give me a log to look at.

Run Recode .
That's what d8122 and the mod had to remove the serial numbers from his post.

If you have retail Nero and you install the full package, it will be in the start menu under Nero Digital.
