formating a harddrive
what is the easyist way to format a hd,is there any programs to do this.,thanks for any replies.

The Windows setup will format your hard drive during an initial installation.
If you're adding a new hard drive to an existing computer, windows can also format the drive - you need to do this for it to appear in 'my computer'. At the run prompt, type 'diskmgmt.msc' (without the commas) to open the utility. If, by format you mean completely erase a hard drive, then there are a number of 'zero-fill' utilities that write zeros to the entire disc on the 'ultimate boot cd' (downloadable ISO at www.ultimatebootcd.com) FK
