Reverse Black Background

I have found an article on the web that I copied and pasted in MS Office 2000. The background and type colors were reversed when I copied it with the background being black and the type being white. How can I reverse the colors so that I can print it. In Word I highlighted the text, then clicked on format, then background and then white, but this did not work. Your help is greatlly appreciated.

You'll need to change the text colour. It is represented by the black "A" with a coloured underline on the toolbar at the top.

Highlight the text, and press the button in the picture I attached. Press the arrow next to it to select a colour (such as black...)

When I changed the text color to black, it nows blends into the background and you cannot see it. Then if I change the background to white nothing happens. I tried changing the background to another color and the body remains black while a small portion outside the body will change to whatever color I change the background color to.

Might try again and paste it into Notepad instead of Word.

I tried using Notepad and it reversed the black and white te way I wanted. The only problem was that it copied only text and not any images, but the text was the main thing I was interested in. Thanks.
