Looking for lightweight surveillance software

Our kids have grown a bit and and now that they are using the computer more often I have been curious about what they are using the computer for. I was hoping to get some opinions about what freeware surveillance software is available for a home pc.

Our computer isn't connected to a network and I would just like something that can log keystrokes and take periodic screenshots. Remote logging/reporting isn't needed as this is our only computer and I don't plan to watch from work or anything. Freeware is a big plus too as I don't really want to spend any money on this but I would like something effective that can be easily disguised or hidden.

I've tried out a few but haven't really been satisfied with the results so far.

Any help would be great, thanks!

Don't think you'll find much free stuff that's good. One place I've heard about often is x10 -- have you checked them out?

I'm actually just looking to spy on the PC, not hook up any video cameras or anything.
