activesync will not install
trying to install activesync 4.2 on my computer. i get a message that the wizard could not complete the installation. I have Trendmicro disabled. I have tried several times and rebooted. but no luck, any suggestions? running XP.

Make sure your Windows installer is up to date and then go get activesync 4.5 which is supposed to have fixed some install problems the previous version had.
edit : the install instructions have been updated so check them as well.

I did a windows update and retried installing 4.5. I get the message that the wizard was interrupted before 4.5 could be completely installed. How do i update the windows installer? what is the most current version?

You have eudora as an email client, I remember from an earlier post of yours, and it's known to cause problems with activesync .
The problem is overwritten dll files and the solution is to run fixmapi.exe. the path is C:\windows\system32\fixmapi.exe |
