Question Outlook 2000 Problem

Hi,
Somehow my inbox got corrupted. I used the "Inbox Repair Tool" which fixed it, however now I cannot delete any message dated 1/5/07 or older without getting the error message "The Messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." I restart outlook but it still gives me this message. If I try and move it to another folder I get the error message "Can't move the items." I believe the corruption happened at 1/5/07 and now all the messages at that date and older have been marked by the Inbox Repair Tool somehow, and cannot be manipulated. Anyone know a way to delete and move these messages?
TIA

There are several articles in the MS Knowledgebase. (click the link in my sig)

A few indicate that your pst file might have reached the two gig limit.

Thanks guys. I'll try the archiving thing. I checked the Outlook.pst file it was just over a gig, so I think I'm safe there. It's funny none of the other folders are affected, just the inbox. Most of the mail I could just delete, but there are a few I'd like to save. It's my fault for not cleaning it out promply.

Hi,
I solved the problem and thought I'd post it in case anyone else runs into it. I backed up my Outook 2000 to backup.pst with Export Programs. I renamed Outlook.pst to Outlook.tmp and renamed backup.pst to Outlook.pst and everything works fine now.
