Dvd shrink

I have just downloaded DVD shrink and I Used the back up function to copy an DVD But I cant get it to play in my DVD player .It will play in the computer just any other DVD .Is there a setting or something I need to change to get it to play back in an DVD player. I'm using DVD+R'S to burn on I don't know if that could be the problem .Anyone got any ideas on how to get it to play in a DVD player

How about some specs?
What stand alone, what burner, what brand of media, what burning program installed?
The first thing to check, if you're using Nero, is the book type.
It should be set to DVD-ROM.

CRASH

I have tried it in several different DVD players ,Emerson,Apex, sony.Im burning them on comp USA DVD+R's real cheap I got a hundred for like 8 bucks .the DVD burner came with the computer when I bought it I think is produced by samsung .Nero is installed on my computer ,but DVD shrink burnt' it Nero never did open .does DVD shrink use Nero to burn some how?And as far as the DVD-ROM setting ,I cant find where I would be able to change it.hope this helps .I was also wondering does the region code have anything to do with it.I don't even know which region I'm in, it just has regions 1 to 5 .I'm in the Us .I just set it to 1.

Starting with the last first, yes you're region one.
Open Nero's settings and check to see if the burner is set to DVD-ROM book type by default.
If it isn't then that could be your problem ( Just a note, if you're backing up DVDs that you want to play in a stand alone always use DVD+R disks.) but easily fixed by changing the setting provided your burner permits it.
The other possibility is the DVD disks that you're using.
If they're that inexpensive you may have bought a large number of potential coasters and other problems, like they won't play in a stand alone player.
If those are Memorex blanks just chalk it up to experience, cheap at $8, and go to Office Depot or Best Buy for some Verbatims.
You can save the Memorex for data transfers and experiments in burning you don't want to use the more expensive disks for.
