What do you mean take over? Did iTunes convert them or do your mp3 files have the iTunes logo on them? If we can get a more detailed description of your problem we may be able to help you with this.

You've set iTunes as your default music player and consolidated your library under it?
Or you've had it convert the mp3s to the Apple AAC? Where were your mp3 files before ? The fact that they're now in iTunes doesn't mean the original library ( in REAL, WMP, etc.) isn't still intact but we all need a better idea of what you've done.

Where did you have the mp3 fies before?
edit : These are basic instructions on how to export mp3 songs out of iTunes and on to a PSP. This is for the MAC to PSP with further instructions for using a PC. http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_...om_itunes.html Getting the mp3 files on to your iRiver follows the same general pattern. I would copy the files you wanted to a new folder on your desktop using Windows Explorer but you have the luxury of experimenting with this a long as you remember that you copy, not move. If you had the files in WMP you may be able to "drag and drop" re-import them there but what happens after that depends on whether or not the license file is still intact which is an unnecessary complication.
