Downloadable software limitations

If I download Acronis True Image from Newegg, is it the same as buying a disk, in respect to being able to use it on another computer? Get my drift? I don't want to be penalized for the convenience of downloading.

You back up downloaded software by burning it to disk.
While you're at it don't forget to save your registration/activation key as well.

It requires a key to install, whether it's a CD or a download. There is no difference in licensing. It can only be registered once. If you don't register, you cannot download updates. Get my drift?

Yeah, well, Newegg is selling it $10 cheaper than Acronis is. Their download was blazing fast!

So, when I burn it, do I burn a data file? Or ISO? I guess when I burn it I can burn a text file with the registration key, right?

Here's how : 2.2 Extracting Acronis True Image Home
When installing Acronis True Image Home, you can save the setup (.msi) file on a local or network drive. This will help when modifying or recovering the existing component installation.
To save a setup file:
• Run the Acronis True Image Home setup file.
• In the Install Menu, right-click on the program name and select Extract.
• Select a location for the setup file and click Save.

Just the thing for a usb key if that's what you want to use but a cd-r will do.
Follow the instructions from Acronis about the key.
