Non-plug and play drivers

First, I'm glad to back after my trip to the south to work on music with some folks.

The deal: after I slaved a friends into my computer to back up 36GB of files for him (it was his master, his mobo failed) some of my non-plug and play drivers are messed up. They appear to be boot drivers (so my computer will not boot without me telling which drive to use every time) and I'm even thinking they are HIS boot drivers. What I want to do is uninstall them all, but I'm sure that would be very foolish.

What should I do?

1. What make are both drives?
2. How do you have the jumpers set?
3. What IDE cable are you using? 80 wire or 40 wire?

1. My drive is a ST3250823A Seagate. His is a WDC WD1600JB-00GVC0 Western Digital.
2. My jumper was set to master while his was slaved, now it is back to CS and his HD is no longer in my box (It's in his again).
3. I believe my cable is 80 wire.

After looking up his HD model, I found that the drivers in question are not any of his, they are all mine. Here are two pics showing the ones that have gone wrong.

I did NOT get a specific disk for the HD with my computer, just the standard Gateway recovery/restoration disk. I don't know if it has the HD drivers on it or not.

Thanks a lot.

Affirmative, glc.

That does not mean "it is fixed", just that I did try system restore. To no avail.

Question Problem with "aicrage" in Plug and play drivers in device manager

hi, I have been busy at my school for so long that my computer's chassis's air vent was clogged with dust or something and then my computer couldn't load the c:drive after its hibernation. After seeing alot of dust on the floppy slot full of dust i checked the whole computer for dust and i found that all the air vents were cloggeed . after cleaning my computer started running but al the usb ports don't work and same for the my two "1394" ports\par
my--> compactflash I/II, \par
my--->MS/MS PRO\par
my-->Smartmedia/xD\par
and my--> MMC/SD\par
only the floppy , and cd/ dvd drivers worked
the 4 usb ports in the back and that extra firewire port i think it is, those came with the mainboard of course and theyare not working....how can i reinstall them? i bought a usb card buti still want my other connections to work....the only problem i had before i added the usb card was that ii saw nothing that had to do with Universal Bus Drivers and that there was this problem with "aicrage" in the " Non-plug and play drivers" which i found by going into the hidden devices in device manager. in checking the properties of "aicrage" it mentions that"This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)" and it won't start when i try to start it. when i plug my mp3 player to the usb port that i believe has alot to do with this..."aicrage" it can charge up its batteries but it wont connnect with the computer and communicate. this connection of usb that i am talking about is the one that came with this "a530n" hp pavillion computer . ii changed the mainboard that came with this computer for a foxconn mainboard but the the usb port that did not come with the hp mainboard in front of the comuter chassis worked when i changed that whole computer's mainboard for the foxconn. Can Anyone help me , give me a site besides the foxconn site? anything helpful guys? I also tried reinstalling the chipset as an hp assistant told mei used the cd that this foxconn mainboard cam with but it did not work . my foxconnn has this code that looks like this"P4M800P7MA-RS2H
