This is the error message i get every time i start my computer
the system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred becvcuase the DLL C:/WINDOWS\System32\HHCTRL.OCX occuppied an adress range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The Vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL... if someone could help me figure out what this means and how to fix it it would be appreciated Thanks |

Several folks suffering this problem lately due to a Windows Update issue. Do a Search for "dll relocated" and you'll quickly see a patch link in another thread.

Yep, the patch worked for me and another guy so that's the cure.

I didn't search for it as PR suggests as I just did an "email repair" for someone with a hhctrl problem. Seems like Windows update doesn't play nice with Realtek. Here's what fixed his: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
