miss files

i have an 200 gb HD and right now im missing "my document" folder which hold my picutures and everything i have. it show the space is still be taken up but i cant find the folder. and files

Is this on a separate partition? Have you looked in Disk Management to see what it says about the drive? What did you change recently? How full is the drive/partition?

But can you answer any of Panama Red's questions?
How many accounts are on your computer and is the My Documents folder missing in all of them or just yours?
If you open the 'C' drive in My Computer ( right click on it and chose open ) and go to Documents & Settings is it there ?

Check this out but don't use it till you've answered the above and posted back here : http://www.tweakxp.com/article36827.aspx

and never go into the Registry without backing it up first.
