windows movie maker?

My friend used this software for video editing. Im not sure where to get it - it doesnt appear to come with win XP! I know its very basic and not considered "great" as a vid editing software, but as with most microsoft software its easy to use and does a decent job. Where can i get this software?

Movie maker is included with xp home and pro. ( Home may require a service pack tho I can't remember) It may have not been installed or has been uninstalled at some point but it is included. It is in fact easy to use. I have used it a few times to make simple videos. It is a good starting point. Then if you need to you can graduate to a more involved software package. HTH

Movie Maker is available as a free download for XP sp2 users direct from Microsoft.

Here is the link. Just looked it up myself. I'm going to re-do some old 8mm family reels.
