Photoshop Alternative

Haven't seen this mentioned here before. For any one who would like to use photoshop but can't afford to buy it this might be of interest: http://www.gimpshop.com/index.shtml It is the open source image editor gimp with a new interface designed to be more like the photoshop interface. Haven't played with it myself. If anyone else has let us know.

Gimp is a nice program And as said its free. It does how ever have a high learning curve.
Once you get used to it you can do a lot of things with the program .
Another good free program is Photobie it has a better feel and easier to use . Found here :http://photobie.com/
Both programs have the ability to make gif animations.

That's what makes this release news. If you know photoshop at all the new interface should make it easier to learn.
