open pict file from mac on a pc

Is there anyway to open a PICT file thats from a Mac on a PC (the same way you can with an MP3)
I'm sure there is but what about if those files are all ready on a CD is there anyway to open them from a PC
or would those PICT files need to be changed on the mac first before they could be viewed on a PC
Not only a PICT file but also an Apple bitmap

I looked around for some software for the PC to do this but didnt have much luck
will keep looking, thought that someone would have maybe asked this before.

You know, it's much easier to convert a Mac person if you know you can tell them a PC will not have any problems opening up all there picture files

I had a Photoshop class in college that used Mac's and PC's computers, all you had to do was open the picture. Although I always used a PC, the instructor used a Mac and all you had to do was disregard a message that would pop when using a PC.
