openoffice.org free cd's?
is there anywhere that will send free openoffice cd's in USA?

As far as I know they all have, at least, a nominal charge for shipping and handling.
If you want Open Office just download it, for free, and transfer it to a usb key or burn a disk. Then you're good to install it as many times as you want.

I doubt anyone will send it for free, but I clicked on a couple of links on the large list of distributors and the average price seems to be arround 5$. (not sure if it includes shipping)
Either way, its not much.

Alaron's suggestion about friends or the library is a good one.
It also wouldn't hurt to check out a cyber cafe if your area has them. |
