XP Software
I have a Compaq computer I got from E-Bay and it does not have an Operating System.
I have the Operating System CD and Recovery CD that came with my HP. Can I use the OS CD from the HP and install it on the Compaq? The Compaq has a COA and Production Key sticker for Windows 2000 Pro. but no CD. |

no,
you cannot use the recovery cd from one computer on another computer, it will not work that way. you must use the recover cd that came with the computer or buy a new xp cd. |
