Moving software/programs to new build...

Unlike an OS that usually can't be moved to another build, is it ok to clone/swap files to a new HDD for my new DVD burner (Pioneer DVR-113D)?

I'm using Slysoft's CloneDVD2 w/ AnyDVD, and PowerDVD from Cyberlink for viewing on the PC. The current burner is a NEC ND3520A. I've seen posts relating to cloning from one drive to another but I was curious about a specific program.

My current OS is Windows XP Pro w/ SP2, and the OS in the new PC will be a new install of XP Pro w/ SP2.

Most all software make tons of entries to the registry and copy all sorts of files to different windows folders....In other wrods, you'll need to reinstall your programs.
