Which office version is better in Vista?

While trying to install MS Office 2002 and 2007 I have been run into the dreaded Error 2203. I have done some research and found out that I need to turn off the anti-virus and verify the write permissions for the user drive.

Should I be logging is as Admin?

The bottom line question is which version should I try to install without damaging the system. Outlook '03 or '07?

Thanks.

Wolfhound, the title of this thread doesn't seem to reflect its contents! Should I edit it to "which office version is better in Vista?"

I quick search on your error brings up:

You receive an "Internal Error 2203" or "Internal Error 2381" error message when you try to install Office 2000 SR-1a

What SP's?

CAUSE
This behavior occurs because of one of the following conditions: • The Data1.msi file is marked with read-only permissions. -or-

• The directory:\Temp\installs directory does not have SYSTEM as an allowable user permission. Other directory folders, such as directory:\WINNT\Installer, may also need SYSTEM set to Full Control.
