MS Office problem

Hi,
Can somebody help me.
Whenever I start any Office xp Program, it brings up Windows Installer and asks me to find the installation package file PROPLUS.MSI

Once I select it and click on "OK", it does something in the background and comes up with this error:
"The file 'E:\PROPLUS.MSI' is not a valid installation package for the product Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage. Try to find the installation package 'PROPLUS.MSI' in a folder from which you can install Microsoft Office XP Professional with Frontpage.

When i click on "Cancel", it simply starts the program
Thanks
Daniela

Try inserting your Office cd and so that it can find the files it wants.

Run a check for malware, anti-virus shoud be updated when you do this.
What XP Office updates have you done recently?

That error is usually caused when you have installed 2 Office products from 2 different CD's. Say for instance, that you installed Office and then later came back and installed Publisher or another Office product from a different CD. You get the error whenever you try to run updates or if the product wasn't fully installed. It can't find it because it is looking for a different file that the one that it finds.

Not too sure on a solution other than having 2 different CD's.

When the Windows Installer comes up, try "browsing" different folders on the cd.
