How to obtain IE6

Hi.. I have IE5 on one, non-internet-ready, computer (Win98SE) . One other freeware program that I tried to install said that I needed a higher version of IE than 5 to run their program. Can't find a way to get IE6 (DON'T want IE7) downloaded on THIS computer to burn and then bring over to the other computer. At Microsoft.com, it only downloads a small service pack for IE6. Is there a way to get it from some download site (or am I overlooking something at MS's site?), or from one of my legitimate XP CDs?

Any ideas appreciated.

Panama Red.. thanks for your reply.

Have tried MS's site to get the full IE6 download, or the full CD that they offer. As a download, can only get the IE6 SP1 (ca. 400KB.. the full IE6 is over 10MB), and, unfortunately, get this message when I try to order their CD:

IE6 SP1CD ordering site is closed and no new orders are being accepted.

Thanks again,

Cuzzzzz, you can still get IE6 SP1 as a download from that link. Try this link, http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...1/default.mspx

Go to Download Internet Explorer 6 SP1 and click on Download Center. It will take you to the download file for IE6 SP1.

jazzgirl.. been there, and have SP1. Need IE6 full, and MS no longer allows it's download (see message directly above yours). Thanks, though.

Perkster.. will try filehippo... thanks, too.
