New Media Player?
I've been looking for a media player that works like Windows Media Player or iTunes for a while now that shows duplicate tracks. I haven't been able to find one. Can anyone recommend a player besides iTunes that shows duplicate tracks? Right now I'm using Songbird, but it doesn't have a feature like that.

Have you tried Winamp? It's my favorite player. Love the shoutcast radio.

Foobar2000 shows duplicates. It sounds great as well, and sounds even better with a little more tweaking. It has a wide range of very useful plugins and DSPs as well. It is a very basic music player, but is highly customizable.

Hey baseballer10p ,
Post all your "trys" . We've got a lot of searchers and the more info the better!

Ok, both of these players are really good, especially foobar2000 once you get it customized. I just couldn't get these players to remove duplicate songs from my computer. When I clicked remove duplicates in foobar, nothing happened. Winamp only seems to remove duplicates from playlists. Even without these features, though, both of these players are great. I think I'll just have to back to the old-fashioned way of getting rid of my duplicates - finding them on the hard drive and deleting them. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for posting back.
It sucks that "remove duplicates" isn't going to be automatic for you. I've had the same problem with iTunes, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. |
