Moving large file
I recently downloaded a very large file (4GB) onto my PC. I need to burn the contents onto a DVD. I do not have a DVD burner on my computer. At my work there are computers with DVD burners. How can I get the file from my computer to another computer (not sharing a network)?

Do you have or know anyone with a very large USB drive or portable hard drive?
You could also put it on a laptop and take it to work.

You could also use winRAR to rar it up into smaller pieces, transfer each piece over with a flash drive.

There are tons of file spitting free utilities. In the past I've use "File Splitty" successfully. PC World is one good place to find one that matches your needs.

E-mail it to your work email address. If you dont have one get a gmail or hotmail address and use that.

sgt, emailing a 4GB file would take an awfully long time, even if you could find an ISP without an attachment limit.

It seems like the easiest thing to do is just buy a DVD burner and install it on your home computer. You can get one with Lightscribe for under $40. They are quite easy to install too plus you don't have to worry about possibly getting into trouble at work.
