Question New Registry Booster 2

Hey there-
I'm not sure this is where to post this thread but I couldn't find another option that looked appropriate.

I received a 'daily tip' from PCM about the new Registry Booster 2 (RB2). I have RB1 and have been using it but I have no idea if it really works. However, my computer is still running and very well, so we can assume that RB1 is, at least, partially responsible for keeping my machine in tune.

I just ran the "Free" scan with the RB2 and it indicated that there were 602 registry errors that needed to be repaired. Amazed at that finding, I ran RB1 and it found 6 and repaired them. Is RB2 really identifying 596 additional problems with my registry that I need to be so concerned with that I should rush out and buy the upgraded version to protect my investment? Is RB1 so antiquated that it missed 596 problems? I am not trying to suggest that there is a marketing ploy going on here but... Please, correct me if I am wrong!

Thank you for your input!!

What are the actual problems?? Some checkers flag entries as errors for a CD / DVD that doesn't have the right CD in it. That is meaning that every game or program installed from your CD could be called an error... Just a thought...

Get CCleaner and run it's Registry cleaner and see how many "problems" it finds.

I wouldn't worry about all those "problems" that RB2 found. The "problems" are mostly just Registry keys that aren't pointing to anything or keys that have been modified by a program. Unless you're constantly installing and uninstalling a ton of programs real often you really don't have to worry much about the Registry.
