Otlook 2007 Three accounts - ONE to be set to out of Office
I work from home and I now have my personal copy of Outlook 2007 set up to retreive e-mail from the corp e-mail system which is on Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 SP2. (They converted to Outlook from Lotus Notes last month)
I of course also have my two other e-mail accounts in there. If I set up the Out of Office will this only work on the Excahange Account? This is what I want. I do not want my personal e-mail responding - they are a comcast and hot mail account, POP3/HTTP. Thanks - and I did try some googling!

If you have "Web Access" for the Office account you could turn on the assistant there for just that account.

You can set up Out of Office to use one account alone, thus keeping it away from your personal accounts.
Full explanation here : http://articles.techrepublic.com.com...1-6155543.html edit : I have to type faster, EzyStvy beat me again.

It doesn't matter anyway since the Out of Office Assistant only works with Exchange accounts.
I never really liked having Multiple accounts in Outlook. It is too much trouble when you try to reply to a message sent from a pop account when Exchange is your default account. The message bounces back if you forget to select the account. Even when you select the right account it may bounce back since it is trying to send over a port that is frequently blocked going out.

Thanks for the input so far, but.... the problem is I am not in a 100% 2007 environment.
While my Office is 2007 the work server is 2003 and the screen print in the article looks nothing like the one I get - I am not using the web access, I was supposed to but the helpless desk showed me how to get in directly with my Outlook 2007. I suppose I could go in via the CITRIX connection and set up the OOO there in Boston instead of here in MN on the VPN connection. |
