Data Recovery Software Needed
I have a hard drive that was formatted (using the quick method) but hasn't had any data put on it, and I need to try to recovery some files from it.
COuld someone recomend to me a program that can do this? Please list the best that you know of, and if you know of any good free ones. *EDIT* I found a few answers I'm going to try out by searching through the forum. Try this one first :http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/UK/welcome.htm
It's free and is pretty good. If it doesn't work I can also recommend this one http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm but it aint cheap. Just be sure you have sufficient space on a separate drive to put the recovered files on. You dont want to write them to the recovery drive. Good luck.

I had pretty good success with File Scavenger. Not free though.
