Acronis True Image Restore Disc
I have Acronis True Image 10 and I made my image and what not some time ago. I then created the restore disc and used PowerISO to put my image onto the restore disc.
A couple days ago I had to restore my PC, first pc in sig, and I tossed in the restore disc with my image on it. All booted up just fine except as Acronis was loading it started disabling IDE channels. When the program loaded I found that I no longer had access to my DVD drive where the image was stored. I also had the image on an external so I was able to complete my restoration but is there any way that I can do this without the external?

You're problem could just be the disk itself, if there was a real problem with the image the copy on the usb drive wouldn't have worked for you either, but it sounds like you skipped a step the first time you burnt a restore disk.
Your best bet is to pull out the manual, or download it from the Acronis site, and burn another restore disk being careful about such commands as system file overwrite.
