Windows Live Messenger 8.1

"We were unable to start a conversation with __________. You may want to try again."

Any ideas?

Does this happen every time you try to use windows Live Messenger no matter what sort of IM accounts you try to connect to?

any profile account has the same problem but when you move to another machine no problems!

Unless the computer is having internet connection problems in general, not just with Live Messenger, you're facing a full uninstall/reinstall, registry cleaning and recreate the accounts and so on deal with the chat program.
If, however, you didn't have any problems until __ (fill in the blank) you can try giving us some more information to go on.
